Sending a referral takes ten seconds - enter an email, click send.
Where To Send
- Go to Referrals in the sidebar.
- The page opens with a single input: colleague@example.com.
- Type their email.
- Click Send Referral.
That's it. We send them an introduction email on your behalf.
What Your Contact Receives
The email is brief and personal-sounding:
- A subject line referencing you and BrokerPlus.
- A short message explaining that you've recommended BrokerPlus for their refinance, renewal, and AML workflow.
- A clear Sign Up button that takes them to app.getbrokerplus.ca with the referral attached.
If they have any hesitation, they can reply to you directly (the email comes "from" you in the way they expect).
When The Discount Applies
The discount kicks in the moment they complete signup and activate their account. You'll see it on your next monthly invoice. They'll see it on their first invoice.

What If They Don't Sign Up
If they don't sign up, the referral stays Pending in your tracker (see Tracking Your Referrals). You can:
- Follow up with them personally - sometimes a direct conversation closes it.
- Re-send the referral if their original email got buried.
- Move on - referrals don't expire, but at some point you may want to send to someone else.
Bulk Referrals
You send one email at a time. There's no bulk paste right now. If you have a list of brokers you want to refer, work through them one by one.
Watching Out For
- Make sure the email is correct - typos go to a dead address.
- Don't refer brokers inside your brokerage - they should be invited through your team flow instead.
- Don't refer the same person twice - the system will catch the duplicate.
