there's no permanent "exclude this client from auto outreach" flag today. the way to skip a specific client is to unqueue them while they're queued for an upcoming send.
How To Unqueue
- go to the refinance (or renewals) page.
- find the client.
- if they're queued for an upcoming auto outreach send, you'll see a queued indicator on their row.
- click the unqueue control on the row.
- they'll be skipped for that scheduled send.
What Happens After You Unqueue
- the scheduled send is cancelled. they won't get that email.
- they could re-qualify and re-queue later if they continue to meet the eligibility criteria (and you haven't otherwise marked them as not interested).
- to prevent that, mark them as not interested on contacted manually, or remove them from your book entirely.
When To Use This
- a client you know personally and want to call instead of email.
- a client who told you offline they're not in market.
- a client who's mid-conversation with you elsewhere (manual touch in progress).
Skipping Whole Status Groups At Once
if you want to skip every client at a certain deal status (not just one person), you can do it from settings instead of unqueuing them one by one.
- go to settings → outreach settings.
- make sure the channel you're adjusting is on - refinance and renewals each have their own list.
- open the check statuses dropdown: under auto sends per day (refinance) for refinance, or under the renewal sequence editor for renewals.
- uncheck any statuses you don't want that channel's auto outreach to touch.
unchecking a status excludes every candidate with that status from that channel. for refinance it also dequeues anyone with that status who's already queued; for renewals the drip skips them at their next milestone. by default, lead, new, withdrawn, expired, cancelled, and declined are already skipped on both channels.
Skipping Flagged Clients
refinance auto-outreach can also skip clients carrying a negative flag - today that's a high loan-to-value (over the 80% conventional refi cap after penalty), where a standard refinance likely won't qualify.
- go to settings → outreach settings.
- under refinance auto-outreach, turn on skip flagged clients.
with it on, flagged clients are left out of the refinance auto-outreach queue, and any who are already queued get dequeued right away. turning it back off lets them qualify again on the next send window. this is a systematic skip for a whole category of poor-fit clients, not a per-person opt-out.
A Better Long-Term Option
if you don't want a client to ever receive auto outreach, the practical pattern today is:
- mark them not interested on contacted. this stops future auto outreach for that client.
that's not a true per-client opt-out, but it has the same effect.
What To Do Next
- mark a client as not interested: updating a client's status manually.
- tune auto outreach so fewer clients get queued unnecessarily: adjusting your eligibility threshold.
