RingCentral

Connect RingCentral to unlock SMS sends for equity and consolidation reports.

RingCentral is the integration that unlocks SMS sends for equity and consolidation reports. Without it, you can only send reports via email.

What Connecting RingCentral Unlocks

Once connected:

Connecting RingCentral

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Find the RingCentral card.
  3. Click Connect.
  4. You're redirected to RingCentral's OAuth flow.
  5. Sign in with your RingCentral account.
  6. Authorize BrokerPlus.
  7. You're returned to Settings with a green Connected indicator.

You need an active RingCentral account with SMS capability for this to work.

What Numbers Are Used

SMS goes from a RingCentral phone number associated with your account. The borrower sees a real RingCentral number (not a shortcode), and they can reply to it directly. Replies land in your RingCentral inbox.

If you have multiple numbers, pick the default in the connection setup.

Sending A Report Via SMS

After connecting:

  1. Open any client's profile.
  2. Click Send Equity Report (or Send Consolidation Report).
  3. Choose SMS instead of Email.
  4. Confirm the client's phone number (or add one if missing).
  5. Send.

The borrower receives a short SMS with a link.

What If SMS Isn't Showing Up After Connecting

A few checks:

Disconnecting

In the RingCentral card, click Disconnect. SMS option disappears from future sends. Existing scheduled SMS sends still go out unless you cancel them manually.

What This Integration Doesn't Do

For now, SMS is exclusively for those two report types.
