A client portal is a secure web page you send to a borrower so they can fill out their info and upload docs in one place. No account creation, no logins on their end - just a link.
How They Work
- You send a portal from BrokerPlus.
- The borrower receives an email with a secure token-based link.
- They open the link in any browser (mobile or desktop).
- They fill in fields, upload documents, sign anything that needs signing.
- You see everything come in live on your end.
The token in the link is what authenticates them. There's no password to remember, no app to install.
Two Modes: Full Intake Vs Docs-Only
When sending, you pick a mode:
- Full intake - forms across multiple tabs (Property, Income, Stated Income, Downpayment, Liabilities, Transactions, Summary) plus document upload. Used to onboard a new client end-to-end.
- Docs-only - just document collection. Used later in a deal when you need outstanding conditions sent through.
See Sending A Portal: Full Intake Or Docs-Only.
One Place For The Broker To Track Everything
On your end, every portal has a session in BrokerPlus. The session shows:
- What's filled in.
- What's uploaded.
- What's been signed.
- What's outstanding.
You can review submissions, approve docs, request changes, or fill in fields yourself. See Working A Portal Submission.
Borrower Friction Is Low
Because there's no signup, the bounce rate is much lower than CRMs that require account creation. The borrower clicks the link and is in.
